Mark Camilleri publishes thousands of alleged chat messages between Rosianne Cutajar, Yorgen Fenech

Thousands of messages that were allegedly exchanged between PL MP Rosianne Cutajar and Yorgen Fenech have been published by former Chair of the Malta Book Council Mark Camilleri.

The alleged chats occurred between June and September 2019, and would show the regular contact that the MP had with Fenech at a time when he was under scrutiny for being the owner of 17 Black.

In June 2019, the PL MP had criticised a reference to 17 Black and other corruption cases that had been made in a report that had been drawn up by Dutch member of parliament Pieter Omtzigt about Caruana Galizia's death and the rule of law in Malta, while she spoke during a Parliamentary Assembly session at the Council of Europe.

Fenech would, in November that year, be arrested over the assassination of journalist Daphne Caruana Galizia.

The chats were issued by Camilleri a day before he will face Cutajar in court in a libel case she instituted against him.

The alleged messages depict a close relationship between Cutajar and Fenech, and one message shows that Cutajar had even offered to help Fenech write a statement following allegations by then PN MP David Thake.
