Rosianne Cutajar should resign or be sacked from the Labour Party parliamentary group, Nationalist MP Eve Borg Bonello said Wednesday.
After yesterday's leaked Whatsapp chats between Yorgen Fenech and Rosianne Cutajar, her position in parliament is untenable, she charged on her Facebook page.
"I call on Robert Abela the Prime Minister and leader of the Partit Laburista to do the right thing and expel the dishonored MP from the parliamentary group and the Labour Party “if he truly believes in decency.
This kind of behaviour is unacceptable in a modern European democracy, she said.
In a sensational blog post, author Mark Camilleri published Cutajar’s unredacted intimate chats with Fenech, who is indicted for the murder of Daphne Caruana Galizia.
A judge today ordered an investigation into possible contempt of court proceedings after the publication of the exchange.
In a separate statement, the Labour Party's women's branch condemned the attacks on Cutajar, which it said was unacceptable.
