No Deposit Cars sets up poster mocking Jason Azzopardi

Friday, 7 April 2023, 13:08 Last update: about 2 years ago

No Deposit Cars, an auto dealership facing allegations of fraud by customers, has put up a photo mocking Jason Azzopardi, who is one of the lawyers representing the customers.

Azzopardi is the lawyer for around 26 customers of No Deposit Cars, who are alleging that they were victims of fraud, and that the company tracked them, among other things in a judicial protest. They are requesting an investigation into the auto dealership.

The used car company placed the photo on its showroom in Qormi, showing Azzopardi wearing a priest's robe with 'Happy Easter 2023 to All' written, with a tomb where Jesus Christ was purportedly laid after being crucified in Israel features in the background.

This was a dig in reference to an incident where Azzopardi had gone to Israel and stayed at a hotel paid for by Ray Fenech, before the 17 Black ownership revelations.

No Deposit Cars is owned by Christian Borg, who is separately accused of kidnapping.
