PN publishes book on three hospitals scandal

Thursday, 27 April 2023, 18:45 Last update: about 3 years ago

The Nationalist Party has published a book on the three hospitals scandal, giving details on how the deal was concocted until it was rescinded by a judge two months ago.

Entitled “L-ikbar frodi” (The Great Fraud), the book speaks about the three public hospitals which were passed on to the private sector by the government of Joseph Muscat, a deal which continued to be defended when he was replaced by Robert Abela as prime minister.

The book contains messages from PN leader Bernard Grech, his two predecessors Adrian Delia (who was behind the court case which eventually led to the deal being annulled) and Simon Busittil, PN spokesman for health Stephen Spiteri and Delia’s lawyer Edward Debono.

The editor of the book is Karol Aquilina.

It also contains the judgment given by Mr Justice Francesco Depasquale on 24 February, as well as details on the involvement of Minister Chris Fearne and former ministers Konrad Mizzi, Chris Cardona and Edward Scicluna, as well as former OPM chief of staff Keith Schembri.

The book will be on sale during the protest to be held by the Nationalist Party on Monday, and from the PN headquarters as from the following day.

The book can be bought against a €25 donation from the PN’s website.
