Jonathan Borg is the new chief executive officer of Transport Malta, the government said, Saturday.

He will effectively take over as from 1 May, replacing Brig Jeffrey Curmi.

Borg has a 35-year career in the martime industry, and at present also serves as the chairperson of Yachting Malta.

He is also a member of the Malta Maritime Forum.
