Two men have died after the bike they were on was involved in a collision with a car in Mosta on Saturday morning, the police said.

The two victims are two men from Pakistan, aged 41 and 33, who both reside in St Paul's Bay.

They were both on a bike, a Yamaha Crypton, which was involved in a crash with a Smart Fortwo, driven by a 41-year-old man of Mellieha,

The 33-year-old man was certified dead on site while the other Pakistani  man was taken to Mater Dei Hospistal, where he died some time later.

The driver of the car was also taken to hospital for treatment. His condition is unknown.

Magistrate Leonard Caruana is leading an inquiry.

The accident happened in Triq iz-Zejfa at 6am.
