The Birkirkara healthcare centre is set to open in August, Health Minister Chris Fearne said on Monday.

In answering a question by PN MP Justin Schembri, the health minister said that the health centre is in its final stages before being able to open. He added that as soon as it's finished the government will start works on the Qormi Healthcare centre.

He said that the new healthcare centre will be modern and that equipment such as a new digital x-ray analogue system are waiting to be installed.
