A total of €406,281.07 worth of Traffic fines were issued between 2021 and May of this year in the Locality of Marsascala, National Security Minister Byron Camilleri said on Monday.

In answering a parliamentary question by PL MP Carmelo Abela, the minister divided the fines into categories based on year authority of issue (LESA or the police) and amount.

In 2021 €171.451.40 worth of fines were issued by LESA whilst € 44,792.62 were issued by the Police; 2022 €112.476.71 were issued by LESA whilst € 25.070.45 were issued by the police; Since this start of this year up until the last of May, € 42,536.55 were issued by LESA, whilst €9.953.34 were issued by the police.
