A Syrian man who last Friday was injured in a fall on a construction site has died in hospital, the police said Monday.
The man, who resided in Cospicua, fell one storey in Alessandro Curmy Street, Rabat, at 5pm. The man was identified on social media as Mohammed Kasem Hashem Alkhateeb.
He had been taken to hospital with critical injuries.
Magistrate Leonard Caruana is leading an inquiry.
The announcement of his death comes on the day a vigil is planned outside Castille for Jean Paul Sofia, a 20-year-old who died last December when a building collapsed in Corradino.
