A woman was grievously injured on Thursday afternoon when the car she was driving was involved in a crash with a fork-lifter, the police said.

The accident took place in Valletta Road, Mqabba, at 6.15pm.

The woman, aged 38 of Paola, was driving a Daihatsu Terios which was involved in a collision with fork-lifter being driven by a 31-year-old man of Mqabba.

The Daihatsu was also carrying a 21-year-old man of Cuba, who resides in Mqabba, and three boys aged nine, seven and four.

The police said the woman was grievously injured and taken to hospital for treatment.
