A French teenager was critically injured in a fight that occurred in Ta’ Qali early this morning, the police said.

Officers who went on site at 4.30am found that two French youngsters, aged 17 and 18, had been involved in a fight outside an entertainment establishment.

Both were injured and taken to Mater Dei Hospital, with the 17-year-old being certified to have suffered serious injuries.

The other youngster suffered grievous injuries.

Magistrate Noel Bartolo is leading an inquiry.
