Pig’s head among rubbish in Valletta attracts tourists’ attention

Saturday, 19 August 2023, 19:15 Last update: about 3 years ago

A pig’s head which was disposed of in a corner of a Valletta street was an unexpected attraction for tourists on Saturday.

The pig’s head was among the garbage that accumulated at St Ursola Street, corner with Archbishop’s Street.

Valletta residents who spoke to The Malta Independent said that the garbage collection services in the capital city leave so much to be desired.

Over the past days, mayors of St Julian’s, Swieqi and Sliema have complained that their localities have become one huge garbage dump. Valletta seems to be suffering from the same issue.

Tourists were seen taking photographs of the pig’s head, no doubt going back home with a story to tell.
