The Nationalist Party is the party of Gozo, the PN said in a statement.

It said that the government has forgotten about the island and its inhabitants. PN Leader Bernard Grech met with residents in Nadur, Ghajnsielem and Rabat on Sunday, listening to the needs of the people, the party said.

A number spoke of months of waiting for change, yet their calls were ignored, the PN said.

Grech said that real positive change is needed, that can only be achieved if urgent, robust and tangible decisions are taken when it comes to planning policies and the economic model.

He also said that the PN will continue working for there to be an adequate plan for Gozo, where all that is Gozitan is kept.

"The Nationalist Party from the Opposition fought so that the Gozitan hospital would once again truly belong to the Gozitan people."

Regarding healthcare, Grech "heard the struggles of individuals who had to go to Malta for care. On tourism, he heard a number of businesspeople speak of the need for quality tourists to go to Gozo, and not just have quantity," the PN said.

Grech said that Gozitans deserve better.
