The programme for Notte Bianca 2023, which will take place on Saturday 7 October, was launched by the Minister for the National Heritage, the Arts and Local Government, Owen Bonnici. Organised by Festivals Malta, Notte Bianca offers a diversified show of performative and visual art, with the participation of various local and international artists.

Minister Bonnici explained that this year over 60 activities will take place during Notte Bianca, featuring more than 250 artists, the majority of whom are local. “Notte Bianca represents a continuous and direct investment in the cultural sector, which is evolving to make this platform more accessible to both our creatives and the Maltese society as a whole," stated Minister Bonnici.

Festivals Malta Chairman Aaron Zahra explained how through Notte Bianca, Valletta is transformed into a cultural evening filled with music, theatre, dance and installations of the highest calibre, as well as educational activities for children and for the whole family. “Notte Bianca succeeds in promoting Malta as a cultural destination by offering entertaining and educational events with artistic value to our audiences,” stated Mr Zahra, whilst explaining that this year Festivals Malta has implemented an interactive map on the festival’s website in order to facilitate the audience’s process of finding specific events.

Each year, Festivals Malta is working to not only make Notte Bianca more accessible and organised, but also to continue raising the bar so that the public can enjoy our festivals in the best way possible, concluded Mr Zahra.

Festivals Malta CEO Frans Agius said that through Notte Bianca, Valletta turns into a festival of colours, where art and culture reign and where local and international artists alike showcase their talents at every corner of our Capital City. He continued that this year’s Notte Bianca will also feature the various collaborations the Agency has with state entities, NGOs, and other organisations that are all giving their contribution through original productions with various social and informative themes.

Notte Bianca’s Artistic Director Antoine Farrugia explained that this year, over 60 varied projects categorised in seven artistic routes will feature during Notte Bianca, whereby artists will give a spectacular show for the audiences. He also announced that this years main stage artists will be AIDAN, Ivan Grech & Band, and the popular Italian band Le Vibrazioni. “Surely everyone who will visit Notte Bianca will find a project to their liking, and I encourage families and lovers of arts, culture, and music to come and celebrate with us, concluded Mr Farrugia.
