Health Minister Chris Fearne said that he cannot disclose Steward Healthcare appeal information because of arbitration practices.

Fearne was answering a parliamentary question by PN MP Beppe Fenech Adami, where the latter also highlighted how the government did not appeal the sentence nationally, given by the court, where it had concluded that the contract "were fraudulent" in nature.

The three hospitals' concession agreement scandal was declared to be a "fraudulent" deal by a judge last February.

Fenech Adami also asked when the government was going to take back the millions of euros Steward Health care owes the government.

Despite not a answering the second part of the question, Fearne said that currently the dispute resolution through arbitration practices is ongoing at the International Chamber of Commerce, and a sentence should be issued sometime during this month.
