Malta Public Transport is announcing special services planned for the upcoming Notte Bianca 2023, scheduled for next Saturday, October 7th 2023.
During the event, the bus route network will follow the normal Saturday schedule. However, a number of bus routes will be departing with an increased frequency during the evening hours. The routes with the increased frequencies are as follows:
1. Route 3: From 17:30 hrs to 20:00 hrs, with a frequency of 15 minutes.
2. Route 22: From 17:30 hrs to 20:00 hrs, with a frequency of 15 minutes.
3. Route 48: From 17:30 hrs to 20:00 hrs, with a frequency of 15 minutes.
4. Route 52: From 17:30 hrs to 20:00 hrs, with a frequency of 15 minutes.
5. Route 61: From 18:00 hrs to 20:00 hrs, with a frequency of 15 minutes.
6. Route 80: Two additional trips at 18:20 hrs and 19:20 hrs.
7. Route 94: From 17:30 hrs to 20:00 hrs, with a frequency of 15 minutes.
Additionally, there will be extended services departing from Valletta as follows:
1. Route 1 at 22:30 hrs
2. Route 4 at 22:50 hrs
3. Route 22 at 22:45 hrs
4. Route 48 at 22:40 hrs and 22:50 hrs
5. Route 52 at 22:50 hrs
6. Route 61 at 22:45 hrs
7. Route 71 at 22:45 hrs
8. Route 88 at 22:45 hrs
9. Route 91 at 22:40 hrs
For those looking to enjoy Notte Bianca even after midnight, special services will be available from 23:00 hrs onwards as indicated below:
S10: Departures from Valletta Bay A2 at 23:00 hrs, 23:30 hrs, 24:00 hrs, 24:30 hrs, 01:00 hrs, 01:30 hrs.
S20: Departures from Valletta Bay A3 at 23:05 hrs, 23:35 hrs, 24:05 hrs, 24:25 hrs, 24:45 hrs, 01:05 hrs, 01:25 hrs, 01:45 hrs.

The Special Services are part of the free public transport initiative aimed to encourage more people to travel by bus. All personalised Tallinja Card holders can travel free of charge, while cash tickets at €3 per passenger will be available for purchase from the Bus Ticket Machine for any passengers who do not have a valid Tallinja Card. Visitors from abroad can also benefit from the Tallinja Explore Flex option, priced at €2.85 per trip.
