The cost of living, the rule of law, migration, the Middle East as well as the challenges in important sectors were among the themes discussed between European Peoples Party Leaders, a meeting which PN Leader Bernard Grech attended, the PN said.

For the summit, led by EPP President Manfred Weber, a number of EU leaders attended, including EU Parliament President Roberta Metsola, EU Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, Polish President Donald Tusk, Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson and others.

During the summit, Grech appealed to EU leaders to present the best economic vision possible, so that their citizens would not be left to face the cost of living situation on their own. He said that the PN had presented its economic vision for Malta, "as a PN government would want to give better lives."

Grech also put pressure for action to be taken on migration. He said that the southern EU countries, including Malta, would that way have their interests safeguarded, the PN said.

Grech also referred to the importance of EU leaders protecting the rule of law in their countries.
