La Bohème: celebrating Puccini

Gaulitana: A Festival of Music announces Puccini's best-loved opera La Bohème to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the composer's death.

Joining celebrations around the world marking the musical legacy of the Italian master, the full-scale production of the opera associated with youth full of life at the heart of the city of lights shall be directed by Enrico Castiglione featuring an international cast, the Gaulitanus Choir and the Malta Philharmonic Orchestra under the baton of Colin Attard.

The highlight of the 2024 Gaulitana edition - a multifarious programme of events running over five weeks, the opera follows on last year's La Traviata, boasting with a "top-notch cast" greeted by "enthusiastic audience" (OperaClick).  

La Bohème shall be presented on Saturday 20 April at Teatru tal-Opra Aurora.
