By end 2023, €245.5 million from EU funds will have been spent

€245,502,267.11 coming from EU funds will have been spent by the end of 2023, Economy Minister Silvio Schembri said.

Schembri replied to a parliamentary question asked by PN MP David Agius on how much EU funds have been spent or will be spent by the end of the year. Agius also asked for a break down of the funds.

Schembri tabled the document in Parliament with the total funds expected to be spent amounting to €245.5 million.

From The European Regional Development Fund / SMEi Initiative available, a total of €107,734,077.08 will have been spent.

From the Cohesion Fund €51,787,744.80, and from the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (EAFRD) €37,090,430.93 will have been spent.

From The European Social Fund €16,753,996.48 will have been spent and from the Border Management and Visa Instrument, €15,826,480.54 will have been spent.

From the European Agricultural Guarantee Fund (EAGF) €5,117,748.95 will have been spent by the end of 2023, followed by the European Maritime and Fisheries Fund, amounting to €4,418,879.30.

€3,918,118.60 from the Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund will have been spent, while the amount from the Internal Security Fund amounted to €2,638,197.49. The amount from the Fund for European Aid to the Most Deprived (FEAD) amounted to a total of €216,592.94.
