A 35-year-old man who resides in Kirkop was seriously injured in a traffic accident.

The accident occurred at 4pm on Thursday on Triq Ħal Far, Gudja. Preliminary investigations found that a crash occurred between a Kia Sportage driven by the 35-year-old and a truck driven by a 34-year-old man from Birżebbuġa. Civil Protection Department officers and a medical team assisted on site and the 35-year-old was taken to Mater Dei Hospital.

A magisterial inquiry was launched and police investigations are ongoing.
