“We are committed to continue ensuring that every citizen, irrespective of their circumstances, lives a dignified life in a high-quality environment. This vision is being realised through our initiatives in various social housing areas including Marsa, Mosta, and Santa Lucija,” explained Minister Galdes.

This project is part-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF). The regeneration project included a complete overhaul of the area, enhancing accessibility with ramps, the addition of greenery through tree planting, and the installation of a solar panel system dedicated to generating electricity for the locality.

“Our duty as Government extends beyond just offering decent and dignified shelter; it includes ensuring that the space around the housing areas serve as a serene haven for families to unwind together,” concluded Minister Galdes.
