A man has died after falling off a roof, the police said.

The police said that while officers were patrolling at 9am on Thursday, they noticed a doctor and a number of people assisting a man on a pavement on Triq Ġanni Bonniċi, Żebbuġ. Preliminary investigations found that slightly earlier, the 70-year-old man fell from a height of around three storeys from the roof of his residence. A medical team was called and the man was certified as dead on site.

A magisterial inquiry was launched and police investigations are ongoing.
