Early Voting for MEP and local council elections set for 1 June

The Electoral Commission notifies voters who shall be abroad or hospitalised on polling day, Saturday, 8th June, 2024, and who are going to declare so that they may cast their vote on Saturday, 1st June, 2024, should make such declaration up to noon of Friday, 31st May, 2024, according to the hours indicated below:

From 8.00 a.m. of Tuesday, 16th April 2024, till noon of

Friday 31st May 2024 (Malta time)

Or at the Office of the Electoral Commission, Vote Counting Complex, Ex-Trade Fair Grounds, in-Naxxar, and at the Electoral Office, Identity Card Section, St. Francis Square, ir-Rabat (Gozo) From Tuesday, 30th April 2024 from 8.00 a.m. to 1.00 p.m. and from 3.00 p.m. to 8.00 p.m.

Friday, 31st May 2024, last day: From 8.00 a.m. to noon.

Applicants must bring their I.D. Cards.

The Electoral Commission further notifies voters who qualify to vote on 1st June that they must submit their voting document. Voters registered in Malta shall cast their vote at the Vote Counting Complex at Naxxar while those registered under Gozo shall vote at the Government Experimental Farm, Imġarr Road, Xewkija.

Collection of documents

The Electoral Commission notifies voters registered in Gozo and who wish to collect their voting document/s from Malta and, vice-versa, voters registered in Malta wishing to collect their documents from Gozo, that they need to submit their written request as soon as possible and by no later than 6.00 p.m. of Thursday, 6th June 2024.

It is very important that requests are made personally and an application form is submitted, which form can be sent through the Commission's website: www.electoral.gov.mt/advancedtransfer or call personally at the Electoral Office, Ex-Trade Fair Grounds, in-Naxxar or Electoral Office, Pjazza San Franġisk, ir-Rabat, Gozo.  The opening hours are from Monday to Sunday: from 8.00 a.m. to 1.00 p.m. and from 3.00 p.m. to 6.00 p.m.

Voting documents in Malta are collected from the Vote Counting Complex in Naxxar and, in Gozo, from the I.D. Cards Office in Victoria, Gozo. Days for collection shall be from the 4th to 6th June 2024 and the voter must attend personally showing his identity or residence card.
