Three people were injured in two separate motorcycle accidents on Sunday morning.
In one accident, an 18-year-old man from Rabat lost control of his motorcycle at around 11am while riding at the motocross track in Ta’ Qali.
He was given medical attention on site and taken to Mater Dei Hospital, where he was certified as suffering from life threatening injuries.
Duty magistrate Philip Galea Farrugia is leading an inquiry while police investigations are also ongoing.
The other accident happened at around 9:30am in Vjal l-Avjazzjoni in Luqa, where a collision occurred between a Suzuki motorcycle being ridden by a 36-year-old man from Naxxar and a Honda motorcycle being ridden by a 35-year-old man from Ta’ Xbiex.
Both were given medical attention and taken to Mater Dei Hospital, where the 36-year-old was certified with grievous injuries, and the 35-year-old was certified with light injuries.
