A boy was critically injured on Monday afternoon when he was hit by a car in Naxxar.
The accident took place in Leli Falzon Street at 6.30pm.
The boy, aged 5, was hit by a Chevorlet Cruze that was being driven by a 52-year-old man of Zebbug, Gozo.
The boy was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
Magistrate Antoine Agius Bonnici is leading an inquiry.
