All is set for the big showdown of European football between two European football giants - Germany's Borussia Dortmund and Real Madrid from Spain. The classic finale bring to a close the European football season at top club level. The majestic Wembley Stadium will the the venue for the classic encounter this evening in London, England.
But apart from the clash between these two giants of European football, avid football supporters are in store for another crossing of swords between two classic England footballers, none other than Jadon Sancho of Dortmund and Real;s Jude Bellingham who has taken La Liga by storm this season.
Jadon has done well with Dortmund since his divorce with Man United earlier this year and was one of the key factors in this Borussia Dortmund team, which in reality have been playing as if they have really nothing to lose. On the other hand Jude Bellingham has proved that pressure in joining such a mega Spanish football giant like Real did not really prove a problem. In fact that he has proved that even at 20-years of age this "pressure" thing did not really affect him at all.
Triumph for Real would surely cement Bellingham's status as one of, if probably not the best player in the world right now - even if he does not acknowledge this himself - after being named La Liga Player of the Year following his side's title triumph.
The England internationals has scored 23 goals with 12 assists in 39 appearances across all competitions in his first season with Los Blancos and could well be in line to be the main protagonist to fire his country to victory at Euro 2024.
On the other hand Toni Kroos is set to make his final club appearance against Dortmund before concluding this career with hosts Germany at the Euro 2024.
Should he feature in a Real win at Wembley, the 34-year old German midfielder will become the first player to make his final Champions League appearance as a winner in a final since Xavi for Barcelona in 29015.
