Former Prime Minister Joseph Muscat featured for a fleeting moment in a promotional video for a ‘Billionaire Dinner Club’ restaurant in the luxurious Porto Cervo on the island of Sardinia.

The promo video was published by the restaurant last month in order to promote the grand opening of its summer season in the middle of July.

A shot of Muscat as one of the guests at the restaurant speaking to a man who heavily resembles Uzbeki-American jeweller Jacob Arabo, who was sitting next to him.

It is not clear when the footage in question was shot.

The Times of Malta reports Muscat as saying that he and Arabo were "guests together with several scores of people at a private business-related event last year and happened to be seated next to each other at the same table," which thus confirmed Arabo's identity. It also reports that Muscat said that he had "no further relation with him."

Billionaire Club was founded by Flavio Briatore and describes itself as a “favourite destination amongst the international jet set.”

“Hosted in a Mediterranean-style villa perched on a hill which offers sweeping views of Costa Smeralda’s superb coastline, the Porto Cervo venue features a variety of charming multi-level spaces, with cosy alcoves and balconies overlooking a wide terrace. Today Billionaire is the ultimate dinner show on stage, completed by an after party club experience,” according to the establishment’s website.

No prices are listed on the establishment’s website.

Porto Cervo in Sardinia is an Italian seaside resort created in the 1960s by a group of foreign investors on the island’s northern coast.  Today it is known as one of the most expensive resort towns in the world.
