A man died on Thursday morning from an electric shock while he was building scaffolding, the police said.
The accident took place in Manwel Dimech Street, St Julian's, at 11.30am.
The man, a 31-year-old from Somalia who resided in Qormi, was taken to hospital where he died some time later, the police said.
Magistrate Ian Farrugia is leading an inquiry.
The Occupational Health And Safety Authority and the police are conducting their own investigations.
