Eleven persons were arrested by the police after they were found to be living in Malta illegally, the police said in a statement Wednesday.
The 11 persons – no gender or ages were given – were found in a residence in Vittoriosa, the police said.
They are from Bangladesh, Gambia and Senegal, and were taken to a detention centre until the necessary preparations are made for them to be repatriated or sent back to a country where they are permitted to reside.
