Housing Minister Roderick Galdes inaugurated a new social housing project in Qrendi, which will provide residences for 26 families and was carried out through an expenditure of €4 million.
During the inauguration of this project, Galdes explained how this substantial investment in the field of social housing is being made not only to provide a safe roof, but also to offer a dignified environment where families can live in a residence that enhances their quality of life.
“We want to support these families so they can live in a residence that offers a bright future, both for them and for their children. This investment was also made in the heart of the community because we firmly believe in the inclusivity of every individual in our society,” Galdes said.
The new building incorporates 26 residences and twenty garages. This project is the second of three new social housing projects in the locality of Qrendi, with the first project already inaugurated, consisting of 11 new social housing residences.
Galdes reiterated that he looks forward to continuing work on the housing projects.
“We do this to continue making a difference in the lives of the families who benefit from these projects and to continue raising the quality of life for Maltese and Gozitan families,” Galdes said.
