Two women were injured on Saturday morning in separate traffic accidents in Naxxar and Zebbug, the police said.

In the first accident, a biker was injured following a collision with another bike on the Coast Road, limits of Naxxar, at 7.30am.

The injured biker, a woman aged 59 of St Paul’s Bay, had an 83-year-old man of Naxxar riding pillion on the Symphony SR. The other biker, a man aged 50 of Mosta, was unhurt.

In the second accident, an hour later in Attard Road, Zebbug, a 24-year-old woman of Zebbug lost control of the Suzuki Swift she was driving and crashed into a wall.

Both women suffered grievous injuries, the police said.
