Two people were injured when a quad bike toppled over, the police said.

The accident occurred at noon on the St Paul's Bay bypass.

Preliminary investigations found that two Italians aged 34 and 29 were injured in the accident.

They were taken to Mater Dei Hospital by ambulance. The 29-year-old driver suffered slight injuries while the 34-year-old passenger suffered grievous injuries.

Investigations are ongoing.
