A biker was seriously injured on Saturday evening after he was hit by a car whose driver kept on going, the police said Sunday.

The accident happened in Zejfa Street, Mosta, at 8.15am.

The 50-year-old biker, from Mosta, was riding a Yamaha which was hit by a car which kept on going, in the process hitting two other vehicles, a Toyota Yaris, which was being driven by a 75-year-old man of Pieta, and a Hyundai Atoz driven by a 30-year-old man of Mosta.

The two drivers were unhurt, but the biker was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

Magistrate Anthony Agius Bonnici is leading an inquiry.
