The PN's Director of Communications, James Aaron Ellul, has stepped down, declaring his intention to contest the general election.

He is being replaced by Nathaniel Attard, who has been serving as the Communications Manager for BirdLife Malta.

The PN announced that following the recommendation from the PN's Leadership Committee, the Administrative Council appointed Nathaniel Attard as the new Communications Director of the PN, as well as the Official Spokesperson for the Opposition Leader.

The PN also announced that James Aaron Ellul will be occupying the post of Director of the Librerija Informa, which is part of the PN headquarters. It added that the two will take up their new roles as of Monday 9th September 2024

Aaron Ellul said in a Facebook post that in the coming weeks, the process to approve a number of candidates for the general election will continue and, "as I served in the last few years in the Floriana Local Council, as Minority leader as well as, currently, Deputy Mayor, I believe that I need more time to focus more time on the needs of the districts as well as, above all, political work that guards the interests of all the Maltese."

Aaron Ellul added that his new role within the PN is a privilege and an honour and also wished Attard the best for his new role. He added that in Communications, "much was done, there is more yet to be done, but we will make it".

Ellul said that his work within the PN will continue and that he takes on the role of the Director of the Librerija Informa at a time where much work is to be done to totally reorganize it to ensure that it is preserved in the best way possible, and modernized.

Nathaniel Attard is a former journalist with the PN media, who was head of New News for a time and, between 2014 and 2016, was editor of the Nazzjon.
