The fifth turtle nest of the year has hatched, the Environment and Resources Authority (ERA) has said.
"Nest five which was found at Gnejna on the 18th July was carefully opened by ERA, Nature Trust Malta (NTM), on the 9th of September. The nest held a total of 75 eggs with 47 successfully hatching."
The news came just one day after another nest had hatched.
"ERA continues to support NTM in protecting turtle nests and conducting other animal rescues and rehabilitation around the Maltese islands."
