Malta will face Moldova this evening in an almost decisive match in the Group D2 of the UEFA Nations League.

Only a three‐goal victory and an eventual win against Andorra in November will give Malta promotion to Group C of the Nations League.

A month ago in Chisinau Moldova dominated the game and it will not be an easy task for the locals.

New coach Davide Mazzotta said in yesterday's press conference that Moldova are a good squad but Malta has to go on the field and face their opponents with courage and determination.

Mazzotta said that he believes in the potential of the squad and that is why he accepted the national team job.

Ha said that the future is bright as there a lot of youngsters with potential.

Joseph Mbong said that the players are eager to rise to the occasion and give a good account of themselves to cancel the two disappointing performances against Moldova and Andorra.

Moldova coach Serghei Clescenco said that Malta is a good squad.

He is aware that a draw will be a great result for Moldova but they want to win at Ta' Qali.
