One of the vessels used for the Gozo fast ferry services collided into a moored boat near the Mġarr harbour on Wednesday morning at around 07:15am, this newsroom has confirmed.
No one was injured after the Gozo High Speed vessel named "San Pawl" drifted into a moored boat off the Gozitan coastline, the police confirmed.
The moored boat was attached to its buoy, alongside a row of other similarly inert boats.
A police report was filed shortly afterwards, at approximately 07:30am.
A spokesperson from Gozo High Speed informed Times of Malta earlier today that this incident was caused by a "minor technical problem" that was resolved on the spot. This collision reportedly did not cause any delays to the schedule for the fast ferry services.
Footage of this incident was uploaded to Facebook later this morning.
