A man who attempted to break into the Gozo Cathedral has been arrested, the police said.
The attempt was made on Wednesday morning, at around 5am.
The man, aged 38, from Zebbug, Gozo, was one of two persons who tried to force their way into the cathedral, the police said.
The attempt failed as a security officer approached, with the two escaping from the scene.
One of the men was arrested on Friday, the police said.
Further investigations are ongoing.
