Three men were arrested in connection with an alleged case of drugs importation after a packet containing cannabis was intercepted.

The police said that the three men, two from Macedonia and the other from Bulgaria, were arrested after the police intercepted a package containing two kilogrammes of cannabis with a value of €15,000, which was arriving from abroad.

The package was addressed to one of the three men in Marsascala.

The police also carried out a search at the residence and found sachets containing cocaine, scales and a number of mobile phones,
