51 people are still employed with Air Malta, while €2.28 million is still being spent annually on it, Finance Minister Clyde Caruana said in Parliament.

The minister was responding to a Parliamentary Question posed by PN MP Mario de Marco.

The airline had ceased operating flights last year.

KM Malta Airlines began flight operations on Easter Sunday in 2024, a day after Air Malta operated its final flight.

Air Malta, which served as the national airline for 50 years, had closed its doors after years of financial troubles.
