Miriana Conte, who on Saturday night won the Malta Eurovision Song Contest, has been hospitalised after she was involved in a traffic accident on Sunday morning.
The news was reported by state broadcaster TVM which quoted a police spokesperson that the accident happened at around 10:30am in Mdina Road in Attard.
Conte was a passenger in a car being driven by a 40-year-old man from Birkirkara and TVM reported that she was en-route to her first official engagements as Malta’s new Eurovision representative.
TVM said that Conte was hospitalised after she was in a state of shock. Others involved in the accident were uninjured.
