An elderly man suffered serious injuries when he fell off a ladder while working in a field, the police said.
The man, aged 72 of Zebbug, was working in Wied il-Hesri on Wednesday at around 8.30pm.
He was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
Magistrate Joseph Mifsud is leading an inquiry.
