Three injured in two separate accidents in Mellieha, Hamrun

Two men and a woman were injured in two separate traffic accidents in Mellieha and Hamrun on Monday, the police said Tuesday.

The first accident took place in Marfa Road, Mellieha, at 2.15pm.

A woman, aged 50 of Victoria, lost control of the Toyota Ractis that she was driving and crashed into an electricity pole.

The woman suffered grievous injuries while a passenger, a 29-year-old man of Victoria, was slightly hurt.

The second accident took place at 11.45pm in Kappillan Mifsud Street, Hamrun.

A 23-year-old man of Santa Venera suffered grievous injuries when the Suzuki bike he was riding was clipped by a car whose driver kept on going.
