The Nationalist Party and Bernard Grech want money collected from taxes in our country to go towards financing Europe's billionaire plan to buy armaments, the Labour Party said.
"In the same style of language as Simon Busuttil, Bernard Grech launched into a tirade of shouting and hysteria as demanded from him by the de facto PN leader Karol Aquilina. At one point, Grech confused the country that did not put its name in the conclusions of the same European summit when he mentioned Bulgaria instead of Hungary," the PL said.
Political stunts are what they are - cheap political ploys not meant for the country's best interests. On the other hand, the Labour Government continues to address the needs of the country and its people, the PL said.
The government has secured guarantees that the money of the Maltese people shall not go to any common fund to buy armaments for foreign armed forces.
The Government also brought guarantees that our country will not be burdened with common debts that are made for this European initiative, unlike what happened under a Nationalist Government when our country ended up burdened with almost two hundred million euros debt so that European banks will not lose money when the Greek Government could not pay back its debt, the PL said.
