This year's edition of the 'Ideazzjonisti' programme provided young people with the opportunity to present innovative ideas on how to address challenges within their communities, a government statement said.

The event brought together participants, stakeholders, and experts who offered their support and guidance to the young innovators.

Organized by Aġenzija Żgħażagħ, the program encourages active youth participation in community projects while developing essential skills such as teamwork, research, and critical thinking.

During the event, Parliamentary Secretary for Youth, Research, and Innovation Keith Azzopardi Tanti spoke of the importance of youth involvement in driving change.

"Our young people are the driving force that moves our communities forward. Initiatives like this strengthen our society and demonstrate how their ideas can create a real positive impact," Azzopardi Tanti said.

He said that every proposal presented showcases the creativity and vast potential of Maltese youth, who not only identify problems but also offer innovative solutions to improve their society.

CEO of Aġenzija Żgħażagħ Miriam Teuma praised the contributions of the youths participating, and thanked the youth workers who helped make the programme a success.

"It is truly rewarding to see our youth working together to bring about positive change in society. Their commitment and enthusiasm show that they have the skills and motivation to influence their communities in meaningful ways," Teuma said.

She said that Aġenzija Żgħażagħ will continue supporting such initiatives to provide young people with more opportunities for growth and development.

The event held discussion sessions on various topics, including environmental sustainability, gender equality, and subcultures within society.

At the end of the event, participants had the chance to engage with different stakeholders and discuss how they could further develop their ideas into concrete projects for the future, the statement said.
