In a joint operation between different sections of the Police Force in Gozo, a 27-year-old German man was arrested in connection with the cultivation of cannabis plants in an amount exceeding what is permitted by law.

After surveillance on a residence in Triq ix-Xjuf ir-Riħ, Nadur, on Monday morning the police, acting on a warrant, entered the property and found a room equipped with apparatus related to drug cultivation. Inside the room, around 20 cannabis plants of various sizes, cannabis seeds, and other items related to cannabis cultivation were discovered.

Magistrate Simone Grech was informed of the discovery and appointed an inquiry.

While police investigations are still ongoing, the man remains under arrest and is expected to be brought to court in the coming days on charges related to this case.
