Prime Minister Robert Abela led a Labour Party delegation to the Nationalist Party headquarters where he signed a book of condolences following the death of former PN minister and MP Francis Zammit Dimech.
Zammit Dimech died on Monday, aged 70, after a long battle with cancer.
His funeral will be held tomorrow.
In a statement, the Labour Party said Zammit Dimech was an "exemplary politician, with a valuable contribution to the country in the different positions he has held throughout his career".
The Labour Party extended its condolences to his relatives.
