Malta bagged a total of 55 medals at the Games of the Small States of Europe, which came to a close in Andorra today.
Of these, 13 were gold medals, the highest ever number achieved by Malta in any edition of the competition held outside Malta. Malta also obtained 24 silver medals and 18 bronze.
This is also the second best tally ever, after the record haul achieved two years ago when the games were hosted by Malta.
The next edition of the games will be held in Malta in 2027.
