It was a busy weekend for the police in Paceville.

On the evening of Friday, 6 June, while the police were on a routine patrol in the Paceville area, officers noticed two individuals selling balloons filled with Nitrous Oxide (commonly known as laughing gas). From the police's observations, it appeared that people were buying these balloons and consuming the said gas, and therefore the sellers were stopped and the police seized 18 bottles filled with Nitrous Oxide.

Later that same evening, the police noticed two individuals who were violating the conditions of their bail as imposed by the court. As a result, they were arrested.

At around midnight, local police officers observed a man trafficking cannabis, who was subsequently arrested and brought before the court. He admitted to the charges brought against him and was sentenced to 14 months in prison and given a fine of €500.

At around 5.30am., a man reported that he had been robbed in the area of Spinola Garden. The police immediately went to the area and conducted a patrol with the victim in order to identify the aggressor. The aggressor was identified shortly afterward, and the wallet and mobile phone stolen from the victim were found in his (the aggressor's) possession. He was arrested and brought before the court, where he admitted to the charges and was sentenced to 3 years of effective imprisonment.

On Saturday evening, while the police were again conducting routine patrols in the same area, they were called to assist in a traffic accident between two cars, as an argument had broken out between the individuals involved.

During this argument, two of the five individuals involved were arrested after failing to cooperate with the police. One of them assaulted a police officer and was brought before the court under arrest. She admitted to the charges brought against her and was given 3 years of probation, while a protection order was issued in favor of the police officer.
