The Department of Public Works recently started intensive construction work on two and a half kilometres of new pavements across the locality of St Paul's Bay.
In a statement, the government said that this initiative forms part of the ongoing investment across the country in safer and more accessible infrastructure.
Parliamentary Secretary for Public Works, Omar Farrugia, during a visit to the workers, said that the ongoing works in St Paul's Bay are part of a series of infrastructure projects being carried out by the Department of Public Works in various localities around the country.
"Creating safer and more accessible infrastructure is one of our key priorities, along with the goal of developing more open and green spaces at the heart of our communities," Parliamentary Secretary Omar Farrugia said.
St Paul's Bay Mayor Ċensu Galea noted that thanks to the Department of Public Works and an investment of over €400,000, the locality of St Paul's Bay is benefitting from pavements that are significantly safer and more accessible.
